About Ayushmann Khurrana
Ayushmann Khurrana is an Indian actor cum playback singer born on 14th September 1984 to a Punjabi family in Chandigarh. His father Mr. P. Khurrana is a politician and astrologer by profession and mother Poonam is a homemaker. He completed his schooling from St. John’s High School and later joined DAV College. He completed his master’s degree in Mass Communication from School of Communication Studies which is affiliated with Punjab University.
Ayushmann Khurrana started his career while studying with a television reality show PopStars which was running by Channel V in 2002. Afterward, he appeared in another reality TV show named Roadies 2 in 2004 where he turned out to be the winner. After studies, he joined BIG FM, Delhi as a Radio Jockey.
He also worked as a Video Jockey at MTV for it show Pepsi MTV Wassup, The Voice of Yougistaan. Apart from this he also hosted India’s Got Talent which was running by Colors TV. His other TV projects as host include MTV Fully Faltoo Movies, Cheque De India and Jaddo Ek Baar etc.
Ayushmann Khurrana started his Bollywood career in 2012 with Shoojit Sircar’s Vicky Donor. He appeared in this film opposite Yami Gautam. The film dealt the subject of Sperm donation in India and its social implication. It was termed as one of the most successful films of 2012 both in terms of criticality and commercially. Apart from his acting skill, Ayushmann Khurrana also shown is talent as a playback singer in this film with the song “Pani Da Rang”. He won Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut and Filmfare Award for Best Male Playback Singer for his acting and singing talent in this film.
Later he appeared in Rohan Sippy’s Nautanki Saala along with Pooja Salvi, Kunal Roy Kapoor and Evelyn Sharma in 2013. In 2014, he appeared in Yash Raj Film’s Bewakoofiyaan which was directed by Nupur Asthana along with Sonam Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor.
Ayushmann Khurrana has a brother named Aparshakti Khurranna who is a Radio Jockey at Oye 104.8 FM and is debuted in Bollywood with Dangal. Apart from Acting and Singing, Khurranna also like to write literature and maintain a blog in Hindi. He married to his childhood friend Tahira and has two children, a boy, and a girl. He named his son as Verajveer and daughter as Varushka.
