Fatima Sana Shaikh is an Indian photographer and actress. She is born on 11th January 1992 to Vipan Sharma and Raj Tabassum at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Hyderabad is now a part of Telangana. Her father Vipan Sharma is a Hindu Brahmin from Jammu and mother is a Muslim from Srinagar.

Career

Fatima Sana Shaikh started her acting career as a child artist in Kamal Haasan starer super hit comedy movie Chachi 420 in 1997. She portrayed the role of Kamal Haasan’s daughter in the film. Later in 2008, she appeared in a small role in Shashilal K. Nair’s One 2 Ka 4. The film featured Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and Jackie Shroff in lead roles.

In 2009, Fatima is seen in a daily soap named Ladies Special which was aired by Sony Entertainment Television. She played the role of Nanda Shinde’s (one of the main characters) daughter in it.

Her latest release is Dangal in which she played one of the lead characters. The film was directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Aamir Khan himself along with Walt Disney Pictures and UTV Motion Pictures. The film broke all previous records of the box office and became the top most grosser at the box office till 2016.

On 5th May 2017, she announced that she is going to part of another Aamir Khan Starrer film named Thugs of Hindostan along with Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif. After the announcement, many in India criticized her as she is playing the lady love of Aamir Khan in it. The controversy started when it was clear that she is going to play the love interest of Aamir Khan in it as she already played the role of Aamir Khan’s daughter in her previous film. However, she countered by saying that she is just an actress and doing the acting.
